Aluminum alcohol containers
Empty beverage containers, including aluminum alcohol cans,
that are part of the Return-It system will be refunded the full 10 cent
deposit. To understand which beverage containers are managed by Encorp Pacific,
please click here and locate the "Registered Brands Database Lookup" feature at the bottom of the page.
Refillable/domestic beer bottles and aluminum alcohol
cans are not part of the Return-It system and fall under the BC Brewers Recycled
Container Collection Council (BRCCC) stewardship plan.
Not all Return-It depots have contracted services with BRCCC;
however, some depots accept these containers as a service to their customers
and in order to pay for the costs of handling these containers, some depots
discount the deposit refund. Encorp has no control over how much of the deposit
is refunded to consumers products managed by BRCCC.
