Why am I being charged a 10c deposit for my milk and plant-based products when I wasn’t before?

Why am I being charged a 10c deposit for my milk and plant-based products when I wasn’t before?

As of February 1st, 2022, milk and plant-based products are part of the deposit system. Beverage containers that are part of the Return-It system include a 10c deposit charge that is refunded to the customer once the container has been returned to one of our over 170 Return-It collection sites across B.C.  To find a location near you, please visit https://www.return-it.ca/locations/

This is a result of a Government of B.C. regulation change, implemented through the CleanBC Plastic Action Plan.
